Snaptain A15 vs S5c | 10 Major Differences

1- Camera Quality

Both the drones have 720P HD Camera and but there is a difference when it comes to the field of view, A15 gives you 120degree field of view while S5C only gives 60degree field of view. Though, what i love about A15 drone that the camera can be manually adjusted and you can set the angle before you take it off.

I would say the camera of both the models is decent enough, considering if this is the first drone you are buying. These drones will help you out in understanding how to frame the shots and composition. The drone videography and photography is an entirely new aspect, so if you buy some high-end drone in the future, the things that you have learned with this drone will certainly help a lot.

2- Build Quality & Design

Snaptain A15 comes with a stylish design. The good quality plastic material is used in its build. The quadcopter can easily survive minor crashes. It also has a foldable design, which makes it more compact and you can easily carry while traveling. For Safety of the rotors, you get prop guards with the drone. It is ready to fly drone, and assembly can be done within seconds.

While Snaptain S5C drone comes with a complete package, you get all the necessary accessories that you need with a quadcopter. You don’t need to buy anything separately.
It comes with landing pads, USB charger, screwdriver, and two batteries. According to the company, it’s body is made up of ABS plastic, which makes it sturdy.

3- Flight Performance

Snaptain A15 is suitable for both beginners and advanced users. It also has a lot of advanced features like 3D and 360 flips that adds fun to your flight performance. Though, if you are flying the drone for the first time, it’s highly recommended to go through the manual first. A15 has a very smooth and stable flight and has decent wind resistance as well.

While Snaptain S5C is popular among users because of its flight performance, there are a lot of cool features that you can use and let the drone handle everything autonomously.
It has a trajectory flight feature that you can use through the app and let drone follow the path accurately. Auto take-off, and landing reduces the chance of crashes while using the quad. If you are a beginner, don’t engage in the advanced features at the starting. You don’t want your drone tocrash at the very first flight. So, understand the drone properly, once you get good control over it, you can try flips, 3D rotations, and trajectory mode.

4- Advanced Controlling

Both the drones have some advanced controlling options that provide them an edge over other drones. You can control Snaptain A15 with voice commands. You can use terms like “landing,” “take-off,” “right,” “left,” and the drone will respond accordingly. This adds fun to your drone flying experience. Though, according to the users, the voice command feature is not very responsive but worth giving a try. You also have a gravity sensor in A15, which allows you to control the drone with the movement of your smartphone. At this feature, the drone will be very responsive, so when you are using it for the very first time, make sure you are trying at the open ground where there is no obstacle and chances of the crash is really low.

While Snaptain S5C comes with gesture control, to use this feature, you have to lock the camera once, and once it is in focus, you can control it with your palm gesture. This is also not a very smooth feature; you might have to practice a lot to get good control over it. It also has excellent altitude hold, and the camera will keep on hovering at the same place once you leave the throttle. It is very helpful in clicking the jitter-free pictures. It also has gravity control like A15.

5- Immersive Experience

Both the drones are VR glass compatible, which provides you the very immersive experience. Though VR Goggles are not included with the product, you have to buy them separately. If you have never flown the drone before this way, i would highly recommend you to try this feature. It gives you the 3D feel, and you see what your drone’s camera see.

6- Application

You have to download the app to use all of its features. With the app, you can use voice control, trajectory flight, gravity control, 3D VR, and others. Though, there are some glitches in the app that the company is working upon. Below are the respective apps that you can download.

9- Remote Controller

There is no significant difference in the remote controllers of the drone. Both are almost same. The remote controller is straightforward to use. All the buttons at the right position, you don’t have to put a strain on your fingers. There are buttons for headless mode, RTH that you can use with a single click. You also have an emergency button, trimming buttons, photo and video button, and more.
If you have flown the drone before, you can easily fly this one as well. It fits perfectly in your hand, and you feel like as if you are holding a joystick in your hand.

10- Conclusion

Snaptain A15 provides you with a larger view of 120 degrees unlike Snaptain S5C which can be used only up to 60 degrees. While Snaptain S5C has the option to alter the camera angle manually before it flies unlike Snaptain A15 which lacks the functionality.

We have covered everything that you should know about these two Snaptain Models. Both are beginner, friendly, affordable drones. Some aspects, A15 is the winner while S5C is a winner in some other aspects. Both drones are fun to fly, and you can do a lot of fun experiments like 360-degree flips and altitude hold.

So, after rigorous comparison, we have one favorite, and that is our recommendation and one of the best drones to buy under $100 range.
